Project Team
Developer

Boylston Properties is an urban mixed-use developer based in Boston with experience in a wide range of successful projects including research facilities, corporate headquarters, office, retail, residential and mixed-use properties. The company draws upon 30 years of development experience in Boston, the last 10 years of which have included the Fenway area of Boston.
Boylston Properties’ first project in the Longwood Medical Area was a joint venture with Children’s Medical Center to develop the Longwood Galleria, completed in 1988. Most recently, Boylston, in a joint venture with Samuels and Associates, completed the development and leasing of Trilogy, a retail and residential project spanning Boylston Street and Brookline Avenue. With 405 rental apartments, street-level shops and restaurants and below-grade parking, this $200 Million development has spurred new development in this neighborhood. Trilogy also included a build-to-suit 171-unit residential component built for Harvard University, and occupied by its Harvard Medical School graduate students, residents and staff.
Boylston has also developed, alone or in partnerships, the corporate headquarters of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care in Wellesley, MA, corporate headquarters for Cambridgeport Bank in Boston, and biotech facilities for VI Technologies in Watertown, and Curis in Cambridge. Retail projects in Boston and its suburbs, as well as Fairfield County, CT, round out their existing portfolio.
Principals William McQuillan and Mark Deschenes lead the Boylston Properties’ efforts in the development field. In addition to the business side of the team, Mr. McQuillan currently serves as President of the Board of Trustees of the Huntington Theatre Company, having recently chaired its $24 Million Capital Campaign. Bill also served on the Trustees and as Chairman of the Building Committee at his alma mater, Babson College.
